Board of Directors
Hope and Beyond’s Board of Directors offers general oversight of the operations of the Centre and is composed of founders and individuals with distinguished service records and profound knowledge in the management of addictive illnesses.
Dr. David Kalema, PhD
David holds a Doctorate in Alcohol Addiction Treatment studies (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Ghent University, Belgium) and is an International Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP 1). He has authored numerous resource materials and publications on Culturally adapted effective treatment of alcohol service users in Uganda. David joined the field of addiction treatment and rehabilitation in 2006 as managing Director of Serenity Centre (Uganda’s first and biggest rehab) and later in 2012 co-founded Hope and Beyond. David is also a Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP2).
Fr. Kiibi Deogratias Kateregga
Fr Kateregga is a Catholic Priest of Kampala Archdiocese, currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Communication at Makerere University.
Dr Jascinta Kabenga
Kabenga is a senior Psychiatrist, an ICAP1 and has vast experience in child & adolescent mental health.
M/s. Anne Nabunya
Anne is an Artist/Journalist/Radio Presenter and founder of Drugs Apaana an education, awareness and prevention initiative committed to fighting drugs and substance abuse among youth in Uganda.
Sylvia Nabirye Teopista
Sylvia is an advocate
